What you will be working on:

You will be part of the Air Hub team of policy officers working on issues pertaining to the planning and development of civil aviation policies to strengthen Singapore\'s competitiveness as an air hub. The team works on policies including but not limited to connectivity, manpower, and sustainability, as well as investing in the future capacity of Changi Airport Terminal 5/ Changi East, the development of the Changi East Industrial Zone, the Changi East Urban District, and establishing and implementing a sustainable funding model for the air hub. You will propose, review, and formulate policies, and collect and analyse data to identify trends, as part of the policy making process. You will also oversee and ensure the effective implementation and communication of policies and plans. You will collaborate closely and establish effective channes of communication with key stakeholders, including CAAS, other Government agencies, and the industry.

About Ministry of Transport:

The Mission of Ministry of Transport is to develop Singapore\'s land, sea and air transport sectors so as to enhance our economic competitiveness and quality of life in a knowledge-based economy. MOT oversees the development and regulation of the following sectors: \xe2\x80\xa2 Civil Aviation and Air Transport \xe2\x80\xa2 Maritime and Ports \xe2\x80\xa2 Land Transport Besides providing an efficient and cost-effective transportation in Singapore, it also strives to make Singapore an international civil aviation and maritime centre for the region. The ministry sets the strategic and policy direction while operations and regulatory works are carried out by the statutory boards under its charge. There are four statutory boards which are established by Acts of Parliament: the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), the Land Transport Authority (LTA), the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) and the Public Transport Council (PTC). The ministry also oversees the operation of the Transport Safety Investigation Bureau (TSIB).
