At Charities Unit, we adopt a robust yet balanced regulatory approach and work with various partners to help charities strengthen their capabilities and governance. We encourage co-regulation and a culture of transparency and accountability to enable safe giving.What you will be working on:As a key account manager overseeing charities, your responsibilities include the following: \xe2\x80\xa2 Registration and monitoring of regulatory compliance of charities and Institutions of a Public Character - this would include evaluating case submissions, conducting field visits and addressing policy and operational issues in the charity sector; \xe2\x80\xa2 Oversee permit applications to conduct fund-raising appeals in Singapore for foreign charitable purposes; \xe2\x80\xa2 Oversee governance reviews and investigate into possible noncompliance or misconduct of charities and practices of fund-raisers; \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist in enforcement actions; and \xe2\x80\xa2 Explore and develop new approaches or work processes and see through their implementation.What we are looking for:Experiences \xe2\x80\xa2 At least 2 years of working experience in compliance, regulatory or enforcement work. Competencies \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to read financial statements and conduct basic financial analysis. \xe2\x80\xa2 Basic knowledge of legal and accounting principles will be an added advantage. \xe2\x80\xa2 Preferably have knowledge and expertise in Accountancy or Business Administration. \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent written and oral communication skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to engage and build relationships and networks with diverse stakeholders at all levels. \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong analytical thinking with the ability to think creatively and strategically. **All applicants will be notified on whether they are shortlisted or not within 4 weeks of the closing date of this job posting.About Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth:We aim to build a cohesive and resilient society, deepening the sense of national identity and affinity for Singapore through strengthening community bonds, promoting of the arts and heritage, youth engagement, sports development, volunteerism and philanthropy.
