The incumbent will provide operational support, in the area of Accounts Receivable and collection, to the central Finance team
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare regularly AR reporting to management
- Analyse any anomalies any AR transactions
- Provide advice and support to departments in terms of cash collection processes
- Follow up on any unknown receipts outstanding issues
- Analyse failed interface receipts from submodules to Accounts Receivables and General Ledger Module
- Prepare and Review receipts or bank clearing related accounts balance sheet reconciliations
- Monitor and ensure receipts collected are accurate and promptly applied & recorded in the books
- Liaise with external and internal auditors on all AR matters
- Support the university on initiatives in Organisational Excellence (OE) journey
- Any ad hoc duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Preferably 7 to 10 years working experience, with minimal 5 years in the finance functions
- Excellent attention to details
- Experience in SAP preferable but not necessary
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel
- Good analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
- Team player
