[What the role is]

Maintain the data in the GDMS system and provide service the geoprocessing serrices which include GIS data processing and analysis and map plan generation.

[What you will be working on]

\xe2\x80\x8bUpdate the geospatial dataset layers \xe2\x80\x93 Building, Road and related layers and their attributes information in the GeoDatabase Management System (GDMS) with the dataset from the various agencies \xe2\x80\x93 BCA, HDB, LTA and IRAS, etc.

Liaise with the agencies to resolve data inconsistencies with site verification where required.

Render support to meet the GIS Application Processing Services (GAPS) to agencies, which includes GIS data processing and analysis and map plan generation.

Perform regular data preparation, plan and report generations \xe2\x80\x93 e.g , data for licensing, data to support OneMap School Query, distance reports for MOE P1 registration.

Continuously provide improvement to the updating workflow and customised application to improve on the updating process to improve accuracy, reduce cost or increase efficiency.

Work with the application developers on the improvement and conduct verification of the system enhancements.

[What we are looking for]

Qualification in Geomatics, Computer Science, Engineering or related disciplines.

Experience with GIS technology (e.g. ArcGIS, ArcSDE, QGIS) preferred.

Knowledgeable of the infrastructure planning and development process will be an advantage.

Able to work well with a team and be willing to learn

Able to relate technical information to business requirements and demands.

Effective presentation, communication and writing skills.
