Assistant Head/head, Connectivity, Trade And Logistics Cluster, Science And Engineering Research Council
Job Description
The Connectivity, Trade and Logistics (CTL) cluster in A*STAR oversees the plans, coordination and implementation of public sector research strategies and initiatives to create impact in the trade and logistics sector as well as connectivity clusters comprising land transport, aviation, maritime and marine & offshore (M&O). The cluster is also the focal point to drive Innovation & Enterprise (I&E) activities for these sectors within A*STAR, and to actively support I&E efforts in the wider ecosystem.
The Head / Assistant Head in the CTL Cluster will support these efforts, particularly in the domain of aviation, through the following:
Collaboration with relevant ministries and public agencies, industry partners and public sector research performers to identify emerging trends and research opportunities that contribute to sectoral transformation programmes and national interests.
Support the conceptualization, development, evaluation and execution of research programmes to address current gaps, drive value creation, and position Singapore for future opportunities.
- Management of ongoing programmes together with research teams to ensure milestones, deliverables, budget utilisation and performance targets are met on time.
Background in engineering, research and/or project management with 3 or more years of relevant experience
Familiarity with the Singapore aviation sector is required
Familiarity with the Singapore research ecosystem and RIE strategies will be an advantage
Passion in shaping research in a broad range of technology areas
Experience in engaging multiple stakeholders through outcome-driven discussions
Outstanding writing and presentation abilities
Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in engineering
