Job Description

:

• 3PL / Contractor Management KPI\xe2\x80\x99s; cost, efficiency service & accuracy

• Food composite DC, chilled supply chain if different
• C&H Cross dock centre, operations; C&H cross dock, VM & retail consumables, IST, RTW
• Ensure sop/SLA/charge mechanism are up to date

• Inbound logistics food \xe2\x80\x93 KPI\xe2\x80\x99s lead time & cost

• Origin M&S DC to Port of arrival to available on shelf in composite DC
• Ensure that a documented process to meet customs requirements is in place
• Customs clearance can be affected: documentation, maintain relationship with Senior Customs officials
• Ensure legal obligations met

• Reporting & ways of working

• Attend weekly call, report: volume, cost versus plan, brief commentary on priorities, challenges and initiatives
• Monthly review. Quarterly review, Annual report, Initiative tracker - Risks to trading, impending changes, new / dynamic regulations
• Accountable to Service Provider\xe2\x80\x99s invoices and assign right cost centres
• Accountable to Financial budget, Forecasts and Accrual
• Be \xe2\x80\x98in touch\xe2\x80\x99, liaison with retail outlets, B&M, M&S (principle)

• Budgeting and cost control

• Submit logistics & warehousing budget and review with finance
• Negotiate with vendor on commercial rates and terms for business
• Measures: Cost per single and % landed cost factor / invoice value of goods

• Change / Project management; operational owner to minimise cost and lead time maximising availability

• Manage seamless transition of transfer from 3PL (if any).

• Conduct regular stock reconciliations with 3PL including annual stock count

• Accountable to Logistics RFQ, Agreement, Rate Card, Challenges , Achievement of Logistics Service Provider and Freight Forwarder

• Report Initiative tracker

• Risks to trading, impending changes, new / dynamic regulations

• Digital First (E-COM)

• Partner business to explore opportunities via cost modelling \xe2\x80\x93 store model, DC model or retail model.
• Track customer proposition delivered and report on weekly basis.
• Introduce right partners for fulfilment and last mile delivery.

• Compliance

• Ensure compliance to AFG Policies and procedures at all times.
• Closure of Internal Audit Findings and ensure the processes have been drawn up and implemented
• Trade Safely & Legally
• SHE, local champion

Requirements:-

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:

• University degree in logistics / Supply Chain or relevant disciplines
• A minimum of 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience working in logistics / Freight Forwarding in industry at least 2 years at supervisory / managerial level
• Familiar with warehousing and distribution workflow and Well versed in customs clearance process
• Prior experiences with 3PL and air/ocean freight operations will be an advantage
• Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving skills
• Experienced in improvement projects and prior SAP system knowledge will be an added advantage.
• Good interpersonal skills
