Adult Education, Learning and DevelopmentThe Learning and Professional Development Division (LPDD) seeks a highly motivated and results-oriented Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team. In this position, you will play a key role in supporting the Division to develop and implement strategies to build a strong professional identity for Training &Adult Education (TAE) professionals (including individuals and enterprises). You will also leverage outreach, partnerships, community building, stakeholder management, and CRM expertise to cultivate a thriving Adult Education Network (AEN).What You Will Be DoingThe successful candidate will report to Assistant Director, Adult Education, Learning, and Development (AELD), with the following key responsibilities:Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide inputs to develop and execute outreach strategies through targeted communication channels to connect TAE professionals with SUSS-IAL.
  • Forge strong partnerships with TAE professionals, affinity groups (e.g. Special Interest Groups (SIGS)), and enterprises to expand engagement opportunities.
  • Foster a vibrant AEN community through innovative and inclusive programmes and events.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders (e.g. AEN members, AE volunteers, AE leaders including SIG Chairs, AE Mentors, AEPs) ensuring their voices are heard and valued.
  • Collaborate across teams to develop and implement a robust Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system for AELD.
  • Utilise data analytics to identify trends and target AEN outreach and engagement efforts.
Job Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications, preferably in education (or adult learning), public relations or a related field.
  • At least 5-7 years of relevant experience in corporate relations, higher education administration, community engagement, non-profit management or a related field, preferably in the adult education sector.
  • Possess a good understanding of the Training and Adult Education (TAE) sector.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful outreach and partnership engagement strategies.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a passion for fostering connections.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Experience with CRM systems and data analysis a plus.
  • In-depth understanding of social media platforms and best practices for AEN engagement a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • The successful appointee will be based in IAL Campus located at Lifelong Learning Institute next to Paya Lebar MRT station.
