One of the airfield systems which is highly critical to airport operations is grass turf management. The grass area in the airfield in Changi Airport is expanding to approximately 800 hectares which is similar to the size of 1,000 football fields. Grass turf maintenance in our airfield is especially important due to safety implications posed to aircraft operations arising from wildlife hazards. Traditionally, grass cutting has been a labour-intensive activity carried out manually with man-driven tractors. In recent years, Changi Airport Group has started trials and fielded autonomous robotic grass cutters in the airfield. Feasibility and safety studies are ongoing to take autonomous robotic grass cutting to the next level. As part of Changi Airport Group's Engineering team, you will be part of the team managing airfield pavements and grass turf. You shall be responsible for transforming grass turf management and maintenance to an eventual state of manless' operations, managing a fleet of robotic grass cutters. Through deriving, collating, and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data, you will plan, develop and implement an integrated maintenance model for grass cutting in the airfield in Changi Airport, considering the need to constantly monitor and enhance grass cutting performance efficiencies, its cost-effectiveness and reliability. Requirements: Degree in Civil Engineering with minimum of 4 years' experience Interest in working on autonomous equipment / robotics and in software development and applications Possesses a great work attitude and enjoys field work Good writing, presentation, and communication skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Highly motivated and able to multi-task in fast paced environment Candidates with no working experience are welcome to apply
