Job PurposeReporting to the Section Head of Commission & Benefits Team within Agency & FA Operations (AFO), you play a critical role in overseeing the debt recovery process and to follow up closely with the ex-representatives on settling their outstanding amount owed to the company.The Job\xc2\xb7 Oversee the administration of debt recovery of financial representative with outstanding balances.\xc2\xb7 Liaise with the financial representatives on prompt settlement of outstanding balances owed to company and/or negotiate on a repayment schedule (if necessary).\xc2\xb7 Act as liaison officer with external stakeholders such as legal firms and debt recovery vendors on the debt recovery.\xc2\xb7 Review the effectiveness of legal firm, debt recovery vendor and/or the process.\xc2\xb7 Prepare the Receivable Aging report and follow up closely on the outstanding.\xc2\xb7 Ensure accurate and timely reporting on debt recovery progress to various stakeholders.\xc2\xb7 Recommend provision for doubtful debt in accordance to Finance policy on monthly basis.\xc2\xb7 Conduct Yearly review on the receivables and recommend potential write-off of bad debt.\xc2\xb7 Take accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and take appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.\xc2\xb7 Maintain awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.\xc2\xb7 Highlight any potential concerns/ risks and proactively share best risk management practices.\xc2\xb7 Handle any other adhoc assignments as directed by Head of Agency & FA Operations.QualificationsOur Requirements\xc2\xb7 Minimum Degree qualification from a recognized institution;\xc2\xb7 Preferably at least 2 years of relevant work experience in the debt recovery;\xc2\xb7 Good understanding about the court proceeding, type of legal actions and ability to support the external lawyer in their queries or request for information;\xc2\xb7 Must be meticulous, capable in monitoring the debt status closely, recommend the next course of action and to provide for doubtful debt or write-off as bad debt.\xc2\xb7 Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).\xc2\xb7 Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.\xc2\xb7 High level of integrity, take accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork.\xc2\xb7 Take initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes.About Great EasternEstablished in 1908, Great Eastern places customers at the heart of everything we do.
