Global Compact Network Singapore (GCNS) is the Singapore chapter of the United Nations Global Compact. As a leading voice on corporate sustainability, GCNS drives multi-stakeholder action through various platforms and partnerships to forge a more sustainable future.We are looking for a good team player who will be overseeing the event operations and logistics for GCNS events in virtual, physical and/or hybrid format. The successful candidate will showcase strong project management skills and be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously. This role is open to someone who is passionate to learn more about corporate sustainability in Singapore and the region.The successful candidate will join an active UN Global Compact local network, an ambitious team that is energised behind our mission to promotes corporate sustainability and responsible business in Singapore and the region.Responsibilities:

  • Oversee event operations and logistics at GCNS, including but not limited to:
  • Manage project administration and event workflow - Manage, plan and implement the technical and logistics support for GCNS flagship events in collaboration with the respective project managers, including the GCNS Annual Summit, CEO Roundtable, Youth Forum, Awards Gala Dinner, Annual General Meeting, and UNGC Leaders Summit.
  • Serve as key liaison between project managers, partners and vendors, ensuring that all event requirements are met and in accordance to government mandated regulations
  • Work with project managers to craft contingency plans and ensure smooth delivery of events within timeline and budget
  • Source for potential venues and vendors in accordance to the requirements of the event and following financial SOPs
  • Coordinate and manage the set-up and production of physical and/or virtual events
  • Seek partnerships and sponsorships, where possible
  • Train and provide mentorship and guidance to stakeholders on event operations and logistics matters, including but not limited to:
  • Provide guidance and training to internal staff on events logistics for smaller-scale events
  • Guide and mentor youth volunteers in planning and execution of youth activities
  • Manage inventory of GCNS merchandise
  • Assist with other administrative and ad hoc duties that may be required by Project Managers
Requirements:
  • At least a Diploma in Events Management, Mass Communications or related disciplines, with interest in advancing sustainability
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in the events industry, with prior experience in organising corporate events
  • Experienced in organising virtual, physical and/or hybrid events
  • Strong project management, problem solving and relationship building skills
  • Detail-oriented, organised and resourceful, ensuring quality and consistent output
  • Possess strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills to engage with stakeholders, including C-suite level participants and vendors
  • Able to meet tight timelines, take ownership and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Able to work independently and as a good team player, in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Accept that OT is necessary at times
  • Proficient with G-Suite applications especially in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge in design software is an added advantage
  • Possess knowledge in various virtual platforms (eg, Zoom, Teams etc)
