Assistant Manager (fundraising)

Job Description


This role is responsible for planning and implementing fundraising strategies and campaigns; and growing sustainable income generation. This role requires a strong, charismatic personality with natural networking skills and the ability to build successful lasting relationships. Someone who is adaptable to fast paced environment, thinking out of the box and comfortable working under pressure and to deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • To meet Fundraising targets by looking for opportunities to reach and attract potential donors and assist in all marketing and fundraising activities.
  • To deliver an effective fundraising pitch to seek out potential new donors, solicit new corporations via networking or cold calling.
  • Assist to develop and implement a Major Donor Strategy and Individual Donor Strategy to increase fundraising income year on year including regular and legacy giving.
  • Research, cultivate and secure corporate partnerships, sponsorships and approach trusts, government agencies and other bodies that could potentially make grants to the association.
  • To manage grant application process and ensure that reporting is tracked and meets donors\' expectations.
  • Make recommendations regarding new events and campaigns (online or physical) while always monitoring results and viability of existing activities.
  • To plan, execute and develop post campaign analysis of all community fundraising events and campaigns.
  • To work closely with Corporate Communications Department to ensure all fundraising events receive appropriate publicity and promotion in all media.
  • To ensure that there is adherence to best practice in Direct Marketing, Data Protection and the Guiding Principles for Fundraising.
  • To carry out any ad-hoc duties as and when assigned.
Requirements
  • Min 5 years\' experience in Sales/Marketing/Fundraising role including a strong understanding of financial planning and budgeting.
  • Diploma/Degree in Business/Marketing/Social Services.
  • Goal-oriented with the ability in achieving and exceeding set targets/goals.
  • Experience dealing with a CRM system (direct experience of Salesforce an advantage).
  • Strong interpersonal skills in building and managing key relationships and the ability to deal with a diverse range of stakeholders (experience in managing committees and volunteer groups desirable).
  • Excellent presentation skills, verbal and written communication skills to write proposal and craft campaign.
