Job Description


Summary We are searching for a motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Manager, Ground Operations (Based in Singapore) with extensive knowledge in airport operations to join us! You will be part of the Ground Department team and will manage a team of Scoot / GHA airport managers to work with appointed vendors as well as airport authorities and Scoot HQ to effectively manage and handle all operational and training and procedural matters to ensure smooth regional operations for Scoot at Australia and India airports.



Responsibilities

Regional Operations
Responsible to oversee, manage and guide a team of Scoot / GHA airport managers overlooking the daily regional operations of Australia and India to:

  • Achieve Targets for On-Time-Punctuality, Baggage Mishandling and Travel irregularity.
  • Review areas of innovation and enhancement to ensure no customer mishandling and satisfactory customer service on the ground.
  • Review operational processes and propose areas of improvement in network stations to to achieve operational efficiency and support during normal operations and disruptions of stations.
  • Review operational data and provide long term predictive and trend analysis for operational sustainability.
  • Deliver Scoot product / policy seamlessly at the lowest cost.
  • Provide accurate and prompt updates to HQ on entry requirement.
People & Resource Management
Manage and provide strategic leadership and guidance to a team of Scoot airport managers including setting KPIs, providing coaching and managing their performance to:
  • Develop the individual in their respective roles
  • Look into areas of improvement and reduction to achieve cost savings through negotiation with supplier.
  • Manage and build strong relationship with suppliers to build operations branding and culture setting for Scoot operations in the regions
  • Execute and issue service level agreement (SLA) for the stations assigned by Head Office.
  • Work independently with HQ on ad-hoc situations and deliver within a tight timeline.
Audit and Compliance / Competency Training Management
  • Perform regular self-audits of service vendors in station or formal audits of other overseas stations when assigned on operational procedures and training requirements and ensure station adheres to the requirements.
  • Establish non-compliance root cause and determine corrective actions and preventive actions to address the non-compliance.
  • Ensure that ground safety regulations and aircraft emergency plans and procedures are constantly adhered to and practiced at station(s).
  • Train/guide local appointed vendors to be compliant with Scoot SOP and / or new system or processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Related Field
  • Familiar with Airport Management Operations and Airport Systems (CUPPS/CUSS)
  • Able to manage a team in operational and project related setting
  • Experience in negotiations and coordination of Airline Contract (SGHA)
