As part of the RPG family, the Child Protective Service (CPS) provides statutory intervention and leads in child protection policies and planning to safeguard the safety and well-being of children and young persons in Singapore. Brief description of Job Scope: You will be part of the team in CPS to plan, manage and review programmes and services in the Child Protection Sector to ensure the safety and well-being of children in Singapore. Your key priorities would be to improve practices of agencies (safe practices and alignment to CPS), understand how CPSCs operate, build better working relationships and build capabilities.What you will be working on:Brief description of Job Scope: You will be part of the team in CPS to plan, manage and review programmes and services in the Child Protection Sector to ensure the safety and well-being of children in Singapore. Your key priorities would be to improve practices of agencies (safe practices and alignment to CPS), understand how CPSCs operate, build better working relationships and build capabilities. Responsibilities You will be reporting to the Assistant Director / Deputy Director, Child Protection Sector Development (CPSD) in the following areas: 1) Improve practices of agencies (safe practices and alignment to CPS) \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure the implementation and administration of CPSCs and its services as per the requirements in the Service Model \xe2\x80\xa2 Review CPSC Service Model and Funding Agreement including overseeing on-site audit and assurance and putting up submissions for approval \xe2\x80\xa2 Draft and review CPSCs policies in consultation with MSF divisions \xe2\x80\xa2 Oversee service management matters of CPSCs \xe2\x80\xa2 Review the reappointment of CPSCs \xe2\x80\xa2 Facilitate communications between MSF divisions and CPSCs \xe2\x80\xa2 Monitor the overall performance of CPSCs and their services and provide timely updates to management \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide consultation and advice on CPSC related matters \xe2\x80\xa2 Review potential areas for enhancing CPSCs and develop processes and strategies to fill any existing gaps \xe2\x80\xa2 Work with CPS Ops Roving Team on CPSCs/SSFPs\' safe practices and ensure they are aligned with CPS\' practices \xe2\x80\xa2 Manage data and statistics relevant to CPSCs/SSFPs and work with Ops Team to use the information to improve processes \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide information on data and statistics relevant to CPSCs/SSFPs e.g. monthly data required or when inputs required by divisions \xe2\x80\xa2 Handle staffing matters and administrative matters e.g. preparing CPSC ID cards, putting up submission for the authorisation of workers, provide secretariat assistance, supervising interns \xe2\x80\xa2 Handle the IT or system related matters and enquiries from agencies e.g. ECRM (for SSFPs), EPES (CPSCs), Case Connect and SSNet \xe2\x80\xa2 Oversee research and evaluation matters pertaining to CPSCs 2) Liaison & Engagement (Build better working relationships) \xe2\x80\xa2 Work with CPS Ops team to facilitate engagement with CPSC/SSFP heads and workers to obtain and provide information to improve processes and service delivery 3) Building capabilities \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide inputs to CPS and MSF Divisions to: - Coordinate and organize training programmes to build up capabilities of community agency workers 4) Integrated Model: \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide input and work with other divisions on the implementation of the integrated modelWhat we are looking for:Technical/ Functional Competencies \xe2\x80\xa2 Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology or related discipline \xe2\x80\xa2 Prior experience in working with vulnerable families is an advantage General Competencies \xe2\x80\xa2 Good interpersonal and communication skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Good assessment, problem solving and multi-tasking skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to work calmly in highly stressful situations and environment \xe2\x80\xa2 Be tenacious and resilient \xe2\x80\xa2 Good analytical and critical thinking abilities \xe2\x80\xa2 Enjoy teamworkAbout Ministry Of Social And Family Development:\xe2\x80\x9cWe are Professionals with Passion for People\xe2\x80\x9d The Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) develops the \xe2\x80\x9cheartware\xe2\x80\x9d for Singapore through our policies, community infrastructure, programmes and services.
