What the role is:
The incumbent to this role will support the management and optimisation of overall budget allocation for MOM, including providing advisory on budget-related matters and conducting finance analysis and formulating guidelines.
What you will be working on:

• Provide advisory to Statutory Boards and/or Company Limited by Guarantee (CLG) on budget related matters, such as fund requests and declaration of unutilized funds o Contribute to the annual Reinvestment Fund (RF) process by proposing and evaluating proposals submitted by MOM departments and Statutory Boards, and ensure its robustness o Evaluate funding requests to ensure effective resource allocation o Monitor and perform trend analysis to ensure budget optimisation, as well as review cost methodology to ensure up-to-date cost allocation. o Review finance policies, framework and guidelines for better financial management, and ensuring governance and control. o Prepare annual financial returns and audits required by external agencies such as MOF and AGD.

What we are looking for:

• Knowledge in Accounting or Business Administration with preferably at least two years of relevant experience o Experience in Government agencies/public organisations, with knowledge in public sector financing system and governance will be an advantage o Applicants with no working experience are welcome to apply o Strong analytical and decision-making abilities with the capacity to work effectively under tight deadlines o Good interpersonal skills and able to engage with key stakeholders at all levels o Strong written and presentation skills, with basic understanding of AI tools and their applications o Highly motivated with positive working attitude o Able to work independently and in a team
