What the role is:

The Partnership Lab engages and builds relationships with NYC's stakeholders, while curating diverse opportunities for partnerships with our stakeholders. Our goal is to develop future-ready youths and youths who are committed to Singapore through partnerships. At the Partnership Lab, we work with youths, youth sector organisations, and other institutional and corporate partners to curate opportunities for youths. As an Assistant Manager/ Manager (Partnership Lab - Youth Sector), you will play a crucial role in: (1) Building and fostering relationships with diverse organisations and stakeholders who have an interest in engaging, developing and empowering youths; (2) Collaborating with partners to drive national and NYC's priorities in youths such as supporting youth needs and aspirations, and catalysing ground-up youth action; and (3) Administering relevant grants to support youth sector organisations.
What you will be working on:
We are looking for a team player who is interested in partnerships with Youth Sector Organisations and displays competencies in: (A) Stakeholder Management and Partnerships Identify, engage and support partners to deliver impactful programmes that meet youth needs; co-shape programme proposals; structure support and grants to meet youth outcomes. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to establish, maintain, and develop good working relationships with organisations to support a wide range of youth development and engagement. Design and implement partners engagement and capability development sessions. (B) Grant Administration and Management of Key Grant Schemes Identify innovative approaches to build and strengthen partnerships with organisations in support of NYC's focus areas, and leverage on grants as a key lever for strategic outcomes. Plan, manage and administer relevant grants such as the National Youth Fund (NYF) and Singapore-ASEAN Youth Fund (SAYF) under NYC and ensure proper governance and accounting. (C) Business Planning and Process Reviews Play an active role to support business process improvements in Partnership Lab, and the larger operating context within NYC. Work with stakeholders to review key processes and implement appropriate changes, facilitate change management and transitional gaps to enhance overall business review experience. Support data-backed and evidence-based decision making through effective data management, analysis, and reporting, including data dashboards to inform decisions, and as a springboard for business process reviews. Where appropriate, develop and implement database automation to ease business operations.
What we are looking for:

• Experience working with youth and/or youth sector organisations, education institutions and corporates will be advantageous. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and inspire trust with young people and institutional stakeholders. Experience in grant administration and management, or related aspects. Candidates without such relevant experience must possess keen interests in these areas. Strong project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and evaluation with confidence in handling numbers. Experience in data management and automation are preferred. Candidates without such relevant experience must possess keen interests in these areas and be open to undertaking relevant trainings and exposure opportunities to upskill. Flexibility and willingness to adapt to evolving needs of youths and dynamic environment. Good written and verbal communication skills, critical thinking and project management skills. Team player who can also work independently with guidance. Available to work on weekday evenings and weekends if required
