We are seeking for a highly motivated and competent individual to join Regional Center South East Asia (RC SEA) Network Development team under Daimler Commercial Vehicles South East Asia Pte. Ltd. (DCVSEA).

Your main responsibilities will include the following:

1) Planning & Implementation of Regional Network Strategy

  • Develop and execute regional network strategy for Daimler Commercial Vehicles at Wholesale and retail levels and increase network capacity of markets to ensure sufficient capacity to cater business growth & customer's requirements
  • Align with cross functional teams and the Management Team to ensure smooth execution of the regional network strategy including preparing Management Summary and detailed documentation
  • Involve in assessing of new investor business case and provide detailed feedback report
  • Monitor the execution of strategy and keep track of planned goals with achievements on various network related initiatives including but not limited to network strategy
  • Conduct and monitor business partner management, market communication, complaint management, inquiries and requests from wholesale and retail business partners
  • Maintain existing network database & other management reporting tools
2) Retail Network Process Consultation
  • Support distributor and dealer partners on dealership facility planning and help to achieve process excellence across the network
  • Monitor the implementation of approved layout and ensure completion of the facility
  • Provide consultation on optimal dealership layout to ensure customer journey and business flow in the dealership is customer and business friendly and ensure Corporate Identity Corporate Design & Visual Identity (CI CD / CI VI) are adhered
  • Conduct Dealership performance management by setting right KPIs and establish periodic monitoring system
  • Prepare and execute the retail network consultation audits, analyse the results and consult business partners for further action points with specific targets and timelines
  • Roll out of Dealer management system (DMS) in required markets
3) Franchise Attractiveness, Surveys and CSI:
  • Develop tools to monitor franchise attractiveness and provide consultation to the business partners periodically on identifying gaps and improving franchise attractiveness
  • Consolidate and report the franchise attractiveness of Daimler Trucks periodically to management
  • Prepare and execute surveys and monitor the results of the survey and develop action plan to address the improvement areas identified through surveys and ensure necessary documentation
4) Contracts & Compliance Management and Monitoring
  • Ensure all necessary contracts and agreements are compliant, valid, maintained and updated in line with Daimler policies and requirements
  • Prepare and execute new contracts, amendments, updates or revisions. Communicate to internal and external stakeholders relating to the contracts along with obtaining the necessary approvals
  • Monitor and track the development projects in accordance to the contract and corporate audit standards
  • Perform Business partner integrity management for new & existing regional business partners
  • Perform compliance management with business partner such as Compliance Dialogues, prepare and execute required approvals, set up processes and tools wherever necessary
5) Business Planning & Others Projects
  • Involve in Operative Planning (OP) for the markets by conducting feasibility study
  • Support in new projects and assist in formulating business strategies to support the OP plan and KPIs
  • Carry out regular market performance review and market assessment on target fulfilment as part of bonus computation
  • Conduct periodic training to business partners on Network development tools, processes and initiatives
  • Involve in identifying operational and optimization requirements in the markets
And any other reasonable assigned tasks and ad-hoc projects.

Requirements for Assistant Manager - RC SEA Network Development, you should possess:
  • Tertiary Degree in Business Management, Marketing &/or related degrees
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant working experience in Network Development and/or Strategy Managment related
  • Good understanding of Southeast Asia business landscape, cultural differences
  • Possess excellent communication and consulting skills
  • Possess strong interpersonal and team spirit
  • Good analytical skills and strategic planning skills
  • Highly motivated independent worker with minimum guidance
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Experience in conducting feasibility studies and risk management analysis
  • Organized with attention to detail and with good time management skills
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office suites (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Willingness to Travel (Estimated 15% of the time)
To qualify for the application of Manager - RC SEA Network Development, you should possess in addition to the above mentioned:
  • At least 7 years of relevant working experience in Tertiary Degree in Business Management, Marketing &/or related degrees.
  • Proven track record of excuting successful Network Strategy implementation especially in the Automotive industry (Commercial Vehicles is highly preferred)
  • Highly analytical skills with outstanding negotiation and communication skills, presentation and leadership skills
