The Regional Sustainability Team is responsible for managing the Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) impact for Grab. As a regional function, your work will cover all business entities - this includes global offices, 8 operating markets and Group-level entities. The team is responsible for planning, internal & external stakeholder engagement (including pubilc and private sector, NGOs, etc), project management, and subject matter expertise for ESG-related matters. Grab is an MSCI ESG \'AA\'-rated company.

The Day-to-Day Activities
This role will cover:
Carbon Accounting and Management:
Develop and implement comprehensive carbon accounting methodologies and systems to accurately measure Grab\'s environmental impact.
Monitor and report carbon emissions, energy consumption, waste generation, and other relevant environmental metrics.
Analyze data and identify areas for improvement, keeping us on track towards targets for carbon reduction and support in developing strategies to achieve them.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate environmental considerations into decision-making processes and explore opportunities for solutions at scale through technology.
Stakeholder Engagement and Environmental Impact Reduction:
Engage with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry bodies, and environmental organizations, to develop innovative solutions, drive partnerships, and advocate for policy-making.
Collaborate with business units to understand their environmental challenges, provide guidance on mitigation strategies, and serve as a subject matter expert.
Support cross-functional Implementation and tracking performance of initiatives to reduce Grab\'s environmental impact
Promote environmentally-friendly practices and behaviors among Grab employees
Processes and Methodology:
Kaizen champion for optimum efficiency for measuring environmental impact within Grab and subsidiaries\' operations through education, systems and processes.
Developing best-in-class environmental policies and accreditation
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
Budget Management and Program Planning:
Manage allocated budgets for environmental initiatives
Support in the development and implementation of environmental programs, including goal setting, planning, and execution.
Qualifications
The Must-Haves
Bachelor\'s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related field.
Proven experience in carbon accounting, environmental management, and sustainability in a corporate setting.
Strong understanding of carbon reporting methodologies, sustainability standards, and environmental regulations.
Proficient knowledge of data analysis and data communication
Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Passion for environmental sustainability and a commitment to driving positive change.
Effective communicator capable of delivering a clear, concise and consistent message, both verbally and in writing.
