DESIGNATION : Assistant Manager / Manager (Fresh Supply and Demand Planning)

RESPONSIBILITIES
This Role will be responsible for the Forecasting and Replenishment for a set of Subcategories in Fruit, Vegetable and Seafood in collaboration with the Head of Planning and the other Team members. Fresh is an integral part of our business and a key reason why our customers are choosing us. Fairprice is embarking to implement Integrated Supply Planning for various Fresh Categories as, starting with Fruit, Vegetables and Seafood for our 150 stores across Singapore. Integrated planning is a vital part of our efforts to supply consistent great quality of Fresh Fruits to our Shopper, balancing availability, Shrinkage and cost. Furthermore, integrated planning will reduce the workload across the supply chain, as we optimize forecasts using statistical models and optimize our supply chains and order parameters, in collaboration with other stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Business Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management and/ or other relevant field with industry experience

RELEVANT KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 5 years\' work experience in similar capacity
  • Proficient in MS Excel and other MS office applications
  • Strong analytical capability, good negotiation and planning skill
  • Possess good understanding of supply chain concepts, statistical forecasting and related processes
  • Good understanding of Distribution Centres operational routines
  • Relevant experience in demand forecasting and capacity forecasting
  • Knowledge in International trade
  • Ability to work closely with different stakeholders
  • Knowledge in SAP and/or forecasting tools using Excel/Anaplan/Relex is an added advantage
  • Retail experience will be an added advantage

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS & BEHAVIOURS
  • Able to lead and assist team members, and work independently
  • Strong cross functional collaboration and interpersonal skills required
  • Sound Organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Fluent in written and spoken English. Asian languages such as Mandarin are a bonus
