Job Description

:

As part of Sustainability Office that drives Social, Environmental, and Economic Sustainability in Gardens by the Bay (GB), you will be supporting the development and implementation of projects anchored by partnerships, engagement and education, to establish GB as a beacon of sustainability.

You will help achieve this by supporting the core missions of the Sustainability Office, to operationalise sustainability, keep the sustainability strategy relevant, position GB as a thought-leader and inspire action in staff and visitors.

This role will focus on outreach and engagement, to raise awareness on the sustainability design, initiatives and offerings (e.g. nature and sustainability tour) of the Gardens to both internal and external stakeholders. You will support implementation and operations of outreach programs, develop partnerships with Institutions of Higher Learning, Community Groups and Social Services Agencies that promote the Gardens sustainability and biodiversity, including working with vendors, guides, volunteers and interfacing with members of public. You will also play a key role in developing internal and external engagement plans and materials to promote the Gardens sustainability efforts, including working with internal stakeholders to curate social media content, internal newsletters as well as engaging external parties (e.g. corporates, tertiary institutions). You will also support the other areas to meet the objectives of the Sustainability Office as needed.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Communications/ Marketing/ Environmental Science/ Environmental Management or equivalent
• 1 3 years of experience in sustainability, science communication or environment related fields preferred
• Experience in implementing outreach programs and engaging stakeholders
• Experience in conceptualisation and development of communication materials on different media and platforms
• Meticulous and detail-oriented with service-oriented attitude, excellent written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
• Willing to work on occasional weekends and public holidays
