Location: Jurong East
Industry: German MNC - Automotive Industry Working hours: 9.00am 6.00pm (Mon-Fri) This is a Permanent position. s:

• Providing service & technical consultancy support and technical assistance to the markets
• Conducting on-the-job trainings to enable technicians to better diagnose the vehicles and
• following up on Service Fix & Recall execution
• Ensuring the product quality by gathering regular feedback and constant technical monitoring
• Analyzing and preparing technical reports
• Being the Technical interface and resolving issues from the RC SEA to the markets by coordinating with the various departments such as Quality Management (QM), Research & Development (R&D) and other stakeholders
• Carrying out inspection for potential product liability cases and supporting system administration for technical IT systems
• Developing standards for RC SEA specific quality evaluation and early defect occurrence recognition
• Preparing Quality reporting of vehicles against the standards, implementing improvement measures and monitoring their effectiveness
• Identifying potential consequences and proposing preventive measures for potential product defect during product planning and new vehicle launches phases
• Solving of complex problems which could result in buy-back, negative press reports or legal cases
• Maintaining regular communication to better support the markets by providing technical solutions to the enquiries
• Prioritizing of issues by presenting to the team along with technical analysis for RC SEA markets
• Conducting field visits to the RC SEA markets and fleet customers including body builders to provide service and technical support and consultancy to resolve issues whenever necessary
• Evaluating MPC, GDs and fleet customers technical standards and identifying repeated repairs if applicable. Proposing improvements/corrective actions, utilization of proper tools and equipment etc
• Monitoring the development of warranty expenditure and approval of goodwill
• Steering of W&G development and monitoring of developments in between markets
• Identifying potentially unjustified W&G expenditures and if necessary, initiate charge backs to the markets
• Supporting warranty audit team in audit preparation, during warranty audits and parts scrapping to clarify technical points
• Managing IT access inquiries and providing advices on the process
• Preparing CS-readiness in connection with inauguration of new vehicles, aggregates or technology.
• Analyzing consequences for retail network and developing tailor-made concepts for needs in the RC SEA markets
• Leading the department and inter-department committees, work councils and projects (e.g. vehicle launches, diagnostic systems, service systems, repair concepts).
• And any other suitable tasks assigned.

Requirements:

• Tertiary Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical or Electrical)
• Minimum of five years in automotive service business or related industries
• Experience in a supervisory role in automotive workshop environment is a plus
• Strong knowledge in Customer Services processes, workshop operation, trouble-shooting and repair environment.
• Experience with operating automotive diagnostic equipment
• Knowledge of the relevant Trucks products is preferred
• Ability to work independently and process-orientated
• Open minded and with good teamwork spirit and socio-intercultural competence
• Strong IT knowledge with good data analytics skills
• Organized with attention to detail and with good time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work in an international and multi-cultural environment
