Location : Middle Road

Position : Assistant Manager \xe2\x80\x93 Partnerships & Engagement (Community Resilience),

Grant Management Division

Contract period : (1 year from the start date)

Working hours : Mondays to Thursdays : 8.30 am to 6.00 pm

Fridays : 8.30 am to 5.30 pm

  • For diploma holder, the salary will range from $2000 to $2600 dependent on experience
  • For degree holder, the salary will range from $2601 to $4300 dependent on experience
Responsibilities:

You will be part of a highly professional Grant Management team to develop and deliver grant programmes to achieve the Board\'s strategic outcomes of providing equitable quality of life of Singaporeans. The Board manages a portfolio of grants straddling six sectors - arts and culture, community development, education, sports, social service, and health.

Tasks include:
  • Your role supports the Board\'s corporate goal of being a strategic and impactful grant maker.
  • Grants Curation: A pathfinder to proactively orchestrate, curate and develop strategic grant projects with stakeholders. This includes working with research team to conduct detailed primary and secondary research on the issues, and developing a theory of change to identify effective strategies and solutioning to target intervention gaps identified. This portfolio also requires implementation of measurement and evaluation criteria for these projects, as well as implement changes to re-align programmes for greater grant impact.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: To forge strong relationships and networks with key stakeholders to catalyse and support cross-agency collaboration.
  • This portfolio requires the officer to convene critical conversations amongst multiple stakeholders to co-develop the strategic grants, and be actively involved in programme ideation, design and funding, as well as project implementation.
  • Grant Administration and Governance: To manage and monitor implementation of projects and programmes funded, analysis of their outcomes and impact, report and work closely with grantees and partners to course correct where relevant, to drive results and achieve desired objectives.
  • Officer is expected to work across teams to ensure grant governance and controls as well as budget planning and management.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of working experience.
  • Experience in the community/business sectors, grant review and evaluation, and/or
programme design and implementation is an advantage.
  • A self-motivated person with an optimistic entrepreneur energy to facilitate conversations amongst multiple stakeholders to design solutions for social issues.
  • Demonstrated track record in communication (interpersonal, written and oral communication skills) is necessary.
  • A results-orientated person who can synthesise research data to better anticipate strategic and future opportunities.
  • The person should be comfortable working with financial figures, diving into grey areas of community issues, and love to help organise chaos into a coherent plan to make things better. Part of the portfolio would include administrative work that require an eye for detail. The person should be able to manage his/her energies between necessary admin work and high energy project management.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and follow through to effectively manage work and meet multiple deadlines
