The assistant Manager of Permits & Licensing is responsible to support in handling all permit and license related matters for Keppel\xe2\x80\x99s subsea cable projects. Being part of Keppel Networks, you will play one of the critical role in strengthening the connectivity business. The person will work closely with his/her manager, internal and external stakeholders to ensure that regulatory requirements are managed effectively in timely manner.
While being a team player, the incumbent will also support his/her Manager or the team lead to coordinate, monitor and track the permit application submission and see through the permit acquisition completion which includes but not limited to, working closely with the authorities, customers, partners, consultants, suppliers, and seamlessly working with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the project is completed on time, to the right quality, on time and within budget. The incumbent will be based in Singapore but may be required to travel overseas for work as required.
Have good understanding on project deliverables and timeline
Support to develop and map out the permit and license required on each phase of the project/ countries of operation with reference to Supplier Plan of Work
Ensure and track application/approval of the necessary permit and license before the commencement of such marine and terrestrial activities
Manage all permits and licenses, closely monitoring on the application and identify any probable risk and issues that may impact on the progress of the project and operations in the relevant countries. Key critical countries include Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines and USA
Work closely with project stakeholders and support to provide regular update on the management of the permit and licenses
Support manager in liaison with the government agencies (eg. IMDA, SLA, MPA) in relation to permit and licensing matters
Ensure compliance with relevant permitting and licensing laws and regulations
Monitor, follow up and document any requirements from authorities during planning, implementation and operational phase.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Diploma/Degree in telecommunications or other relevant fields
Working experience in Submarine cable systems is advantage
Minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience in the coordinating with permitting regulators for Marine and Land Submarine route utilization
Experience or have some knowledge on the permitting processes to manage permit acquisition in Singapore and international water of telecommunication submarine cable sea corridors.
Have good knowledge of Asia\xe2\x80\x99s Telecommunications, Submarine Cable System and Data Centre industry
Understanding of commercial & financial processes (invoicing, approvals etc)
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Leadership quality and good communication skills
Strong Administration skills and problem-solving mindset
Be thorough and pay attention to details in permitting document and cable crossing agreements
Able to work well with others and have good customer service skills
Able to use your initiative, flexible and open to changes
Strong time management & work well under pressure
Characteristics needed to perform in the job role
Be passionate of his/her role and willing to learn and grow.
Able to travel within the Asia Region and globally in short notice.
