JOB DESCRIPTION

The Senior Manager/ Manager, Permits & Licensing is responsible to handle all permit and license related matters for Keppel\xe2\x80\x99s subsea cable projects. The person will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that regulatory requirements are managed effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Thorough understanding on project deliverables and timeline, develop and map out the permit and license required on each phases of the project/ countries of operation with reference to Supplier Plan of Work
• Ensure timely application and approval of the necessary permit and license before the commencement of such marine and terrestrial activities
• Manage all permits and licenses, closely monitoring on the application and identify any probable risk and issues that may impact on the progress of the project and operations in the relevant countries. Key critical countries include Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines and USA
• Work closely with project stakeholders and provide regular update on the management of the permit and licenses
• Act as key liaison party with the government agencies (eg. IMDA) in relation to permit and licensing matters

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum degree studies in telecommunications or other relevant fields
• 5 to 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in managing permit and licenses for cabling operations in the telecommunication industry
• Thorough understanding on various countries\xe2\x80\x99 regulatory framework for subsea cable systems. Added advantage having engaged with countries such as, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Hong Kong and China
• Knowledgeable on guidelines and requirement imposed by US regulatory bodies eg. Federal Communications Commission and Team Telecom
• Ability to travel overseas to support on site activities, as required
• Have a good basic understanding of the telecom regulatory framework for subsea cables
• Confident and possess good communication and presentation skills
