Job Description


You will be part of the team involved in the development and implementation of the next 5-year plan for the arts sector, as well as driving organisation excellence in NAC. The work ranges from policy development and resourcing to secretariat duties. You will play a vital role in facilitating engagement with stakeholders such as cross-departmental teams, MCCY, Board Members, and other external stakeholders, to achieve alignment and smooth implementation of NAC\xe2\x80\x99s work.

What you will be working on

Policy Management & Resourcing
1. Assist the team to track and coordinate timely CLGs\xe2\x80\x99 board renewals
2. Assist in preparation of reports for parent-Ministry, etc.
3. Assist with tracking of department budgets
4. Assist the team to put together the Council\xe2\x80\x99s resourcing needs through various funding resources
5. Identify emerging trends, assess implications on the arts landscape in Singapore, to help shape policies and programme interventions

Secretariat Functions
6. Perform secretariat duties for internal meetings including meeting and agenda coordination, meeting logistics and note-taking
7. Support the team for external meetings (e.g. with MCCY) such as collating agenda and materials, following up on documentation such as notes of meeting and matters arising
8. Assist with coordination across departments for Parliamentary Questions and other requests for inputs from the Ministry

Procurement & Admin
11. Assist the team with procurement of goods and services as necessary, including seeking necessary approvals and preparing relevant paperwork
12. Assist the team with payments for goods and services received

What we are looking for

  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience in public policy, business, economics, social sciences or related fields but fresh graduates may apply as well
  • Skills and competencies preferably in business, economics, communications or related fields
  • Inquisitive mind, strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Adept at working with numbers and good knowledge of Excel, as well as Word and Powerpoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, to deliver presentations and facilitate meetings
  • Team player who is proactive, independent and reliable to drive projects forward
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Familiarity with data analysis and visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau) would be an advantage
  • Experience in managing or running events (of any scale) will be an advantage
