Summary of Job Responsibilities

The Assistant Manager (Technology) works as a Buyer on assigned IT/Technology categories to support IT and non-IT users for Marina Bay Sands Pte Ltd. The Buyer is responsible for the sourcing, tendering, contracts negotiations and final approvals based on the existing Procurement SOPs and Policy. The Buyer works as an individual contributor reporting to a Manager / Senior Manager for Technology Procurement.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintains company\'s procurement policy and ensures that all purchases always meet all internal compliance & regulatory requirements.
  • Sourcing, negotiating, contracting, and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors while securing advantageous terms.
  • Familiar with working on contract agreements which include master agreements and Statement of Work/Work Orders.
  • Experience with Ariba Sourcing Event or equivalent.
  • Perform comprehensive & in-depth evaluations to ensure best-in-class pricing is achieved with emphasis on total cost of ownership/returns on investments in every deal/project.
  • Ability to summarize sourcing recommendations using a Bid Analysis Worksheet (BAW) and ability to make sound sourcing decisions based on commercial terms and technical considerations from users.
  • Execute on Ariba Purchase Requisitions (PR) to issue Purchase Orders (PO) and follow up with suppliers on prompt shipments/delivery so that appropriate service levels are always maintained both internally and externally.
  • Develop comprehensive IT / Technology category strategies leading to end-to-end sourcing approaches, solution development, supplier selection, cost performance/gaps, quality performance/gaps, and logistical solutions with clear Technology roadmaps/technical evaluation and knowhow.
  • Conduct Supplier Business Reviews (SBR) with key suppliers involving stakeholders on a regular basis with an on-going roadmap in the view of improving operations, cost efficiencies, meeting and/or exceeding all contractual set service levels/agreement.
  • Ability to interface independently with stakeholders/user departments and be the representative for Technology team\'s procurement specialist providing sound advice & recommendations to the management team in order for them to make the right decisions for their operations.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service, integrity, respect, trust, time management skills and ability to thrive in ambiguous situations.
  • Perform any other tasks, duties and/or projects as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum Bachelor\'s degree in a related IT/Technology field/Supply Chain or relevant experience/discipline.
  • 3-5 years of relevant & direct/indirect procurement in IT procurement/facilities management/services/construction or related areas.
  • Preferably direct hands-on experience in either Audio Visual, Software subscriptions & Cloud, Network infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Telecom Services, IT Professional Services & Staff Augmentation, or eCommerce
  • Ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced and often busy environment with tight timelines with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent communications skills with ability to communicate effectively & clearly to manage key stakeholders / end users, resolve issues both internally & externally, provide sound & practical advice and seek practical solution in a positive / upbeat manner at all times.
  • In-depth knowledge of basic financial management, cost management, PR/PO process and contract management.
  • Resourceful, well organized, results/time orientated, good influencing and excellent prioritization skills.
  • Strong attention to details, accuracy & quality work, strategic minded, good analytical & critical thinking skills.
  • Preferably working knowledge of SAP Ariba Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Ariba Contract Management (CMS) System or equivalent
