Role Purpose:
The role will support the implementation and maintenance of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework within Sembcorp Solar. This role ensures effective identification, assessment, monitoring, and mitigation of risks across solar projects and operations, aligning with corporate governance and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

Risk Management Framework:
Act as the single point of contact for risk governance, collaborating with various risk lines of defense functions to develop and execute ERM policies, processes, and tools.
Communicate group policy updates to management and operational teams, ensuring timely adoption and compliance.

Risk Identification & Analysis:
Proactively identify emerging risks in the business, including operational, financial, regulatory, reputational and ESG-related risks.
Perform quantitative and qualitative risk analysis assessments for new projects (greenfield and brownfield), operations, including monetary impact analysis for property damage, business interruption, and reputational risks.

Monitoring & Reporting:
Maintain and update Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), risk registers, challenging control effectiveness and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure practical and feasible risk mitigation strategies.

Compliance & Governance:
Ensure adherence of business processes to internal policies, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements.
Anchor audit coordination, manage audit queries objectively, and drive meaningful outcomes with clear improvement actions and timelines.

Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory:
Embed risk culture across project teams, finance, and operations, providing advisory support for new projects and investments.
Challenge group policies where necessary, securing waivers with strong justifications to balance compliance and business value.

Business Continuity:
Develop and test business continuity and crisis management plans, ensuring exercises go beyond desktop reviews for operational readiness.
Serve as the single point of contact during incidents, recommending prudent escalation decisions

Insurance Management:
Oversee insurance procurement for all solar project assets throughout their lifecycle, manage broker relationships, conduct tenders, and lead risk surveys to ensure fit-for-purpose insurance coverages.

Continuous Improvement:
Drive initiatives to strengthen risk resilience and support strategic decision-making across the business.
Provide leadership in challenging assumptions and fostering a proactive risk management mindset
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
Min 2 to 5 years in risk management, compliance, or audit roles.
Experience in renewable energy or infrastructure sectors preferred.
Possess of CRMA, FRM, or ERM-related certifications.
Knowledge of risk frameworks (ISO 31000, COSO ERM).
Familiarity with project risk assessment and financial risk analysis.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Competencies:
Understanding of solar PV project lifecycle risks.
Awareness of climate-related and ESG risks.
Ability to use risk management tools and data analytics platforms.
