Working hours: 9am 6pm (Mon-Fri)

Salary Range: $4,500 - $7,500

This is a Permanent role.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join Regional Center South East Asia (RC SEA) and be part of the pioneer team in setting up the Regional Logistics Functions in Singapore for the SEA region. You shall accountable for the overall End-to-End supply chain operations.

As an Assistant Manager Inventory Management, your main responsibilities will include the following:

  • Organize and monitor the supply and distribution of overall Daimler Truck and Buses\' spare parts: order management and stock replenishment
  • Work and collaborate closely in obtaining regular summary updates regarding logistics, warehousing, transportation, and customer service from various stakeholders amd ensure inventory KPIs are met
  • Steer the inventory management and coordinate logistics activities to ensure both internal/external customer satisfaction
  • Liaise with all stakeholders, including the supplying plants, general distributors, and vendors
  • Handles inventory management, organizing warehouse, shipment processing, budget planning and control, and comply with ISO and HAZMAT regulations, and any other relevant laws and regulations
  • Identify parts via Storage type Hazmat, batteries, glasses, boutique, standard and keys and Theft relevant parts
  • Identify and propose regular scrapping potential, and ensure safety stock at all times
  • Identify fast, medium, slow moving stock using Daimler Truck methodology
  • Identify, advise and propose reverse logistic process/parts return/buyback options
  • Analyse and identify deadstock, deadlock and overstock situation, and advise and request for buyback/Annual return with vendors
  • Analyse and propose for stock clearance with CSP market managers internally via SPS assortment or Parts categories
  • Monitor regularly on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis in relation to shelf-life parts and scrapping request with Financial controllers
  • Assist, advise and provide inventory reporting for Stock taking and auditing
  • Oversee the processing of parts delivery claims (customer and vendor claims), manage escalation and resolve any critical cases
  • Optimize the performance of the department with an aim to achieve operational proficiency and efficiency
  • Communicate with stakeholders and staff to meet business goals and address personnel-related issue
  • Perform all tasks within the standard company procedures and ensure strict adherence to corporate compliance guidelines
Requirements:
  • Tertiary education in Logistics and Supply Chain Management and/or Business Management
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience with adequate knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations strategy management
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in Automotive spare parts business and operation preferred Experience and
Knowledge in SAP WMS/CRM/IM based software preferred
  • Experience in implementing Inventory logistic system (e.g. SAP, RPA, EDI, API etc.)
  • Regular collaboration with CRM and CSP colleagues on weekly basis
  • Provide regular reporting relating to Inventory topics (shelf-life status, dead stock, slow moving stock, etc.)
  • Uploading/updating of inbound data into IT system
  • Good know-how of inventory management
  • Good adaptability skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in both written and oral
  • Strong monitoring and follow-through skills
  • Experience in managing SP/3PLs and ensuring KPIs are met
  • Ability to manage time and workload effectively to meet tight deadlines and targets
  • Good team player with problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of managing returns and rejections professionally and promptly with factories.
  • Working knowledge of budgets, forecasting, and metrics
