Job Description


The Visual Merchandising Assistant Manager role is to support the brand cluster, Jo Malone London, Bobbi Brown, Frederic Malle, in TR APAC and assist the VM manager with daily operations and implementation of TR APAC VM Guidelines, Design proposals, VM planograms follow up & managing collateral orders. He/She will work closely with brand marketing team and key stakeholders in keeping track that Design deliverables are met timely. The role is to partner internally with brand marketing & sales team and local vendors & partners to drive excellence in executions in TR APAC permanent counters and promotional event sites. The key focus is on ensuring the brand equity is delivered in the highest level and design language is applied consistently across the Regional Travel Retail sites/locations. This role is based in Singapore & is located within the Asia Pacific Travel Retail division. This role reports to the APAC SDVM VM Manager.
1. VM Launch Guidelines
a. Develop & issue TR APAC VM guidelines.
b. Study TRWW launch guidelines with marketing team & adapt for TR APAC to different market\xe2\x80\x99s needs.
c. Ensure a timely ordering of collaterals for each launch campaign to ensure timely execution.
d. Update VM planograms based on assortment changes and product strategy.
e. Assist VM Manager to train Field Merchandisers to execute VM for ASOMs through training, workshops and regular visits to markets as required.
2. VM Planograms \xe2\x80\x93 New door opening / Renovations / Events
a. Work on VM planograms and order collaterals, lightbox visuals in timely manner.
b. Assist VM Manager to establish new launch format for template and process.
c. Develop & produce update tiles for local executions via TRWW offering or local suppliers.
d. Brief Field Visual Merchandising team, local sales team and installation vendors for store set up.
e. Consolidate images of store execution and report for review and follow up on rectification.
3. Lightbox Planning
a. Assist VM Manager to align with TRWW & APAC marketing on launch priories and lightbox cadence.
b. Review lightbox visual cropping/layouts with supplier for different markets/formats across APAC.
c. Lead color proofing and copy review to finalize quality output with supplier.
d. Maintain high visual lightbox standards throughout all environments through training, workshops and regular visits to markets as required.
4. Event Design & Planning
a. Review promotional sites and develop unique requirements for launches/promotions including HPP/SPP.
b. Assist VM Manager to keep track of the kit of parts.
c. Manage agency with event design and development of the scaled drawings and details.
d. Consolidate completion & execution with photos for review and follow up.
e. Review quality of executions from suppliers with Field Merchandisers.
5. IMD Ordering for new launches & counter installations.
a. Review offerings being sent out via IMD or TRWW.
b. Establish requirements through forecasting & orders with marketing.
c. Place Collateral orders & replenishments & planning for TR APAC.
d. Track status of orders & ensure timely delivery to installations of new doors.
e. Issue and manage POs in timely and organized manner.
6. Vendor management
a. Supervise VM vendor on technical drawings, review prototypes and samples for local production.
b. Manage cost within budget and delivery time for local production.
Qualifications


  • A strong understanding in the shopper journey in retail industry and experiences in Cosmetics/Fragrances retail design, preferably have experiences in all categories including skincare, make-up, and fragrances.
  • Experience in a market leading beauty brand with strong acumen on the fundamentals of brand design is a must. Experience working in global organisations is required.
  • A highly integrated individual with strong passion to deliver design accuracy, to lead sustainability and to train/educate teams to close design development and execute the completion of projects.
  • A strong ability to communicate design development efficiently and effectively, with teams and partners including vendors and stakeholders in both verbal and written forms is essential.
  • A strong ability and experience managing cost and budget, and an ability to communicate cost with teams and partners including vendors and global partners is essential.
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Applications.
