Assistant Manager (Volunteer Management), SingHealth Office of Regional Health (Contract)
The Regional Health System (RHS) recognises that the local population can be empowered to “Keep Well, Get Well, and Live Well”. To achieve these outcomes, the RHS collaborates with like-minded agencies across the care continuum to identify health and social needs, promote behavior changes and develop sustainable programmes to improve quality of life and end-of-life care.

You will be part of the pioneer team that builds, manages and grows the volunteer pool for Regional Health System programmes run by 5 SingHealth institutions (SGH, CGH, SKH, SHP and SCH).

You are required to develop and harmonise guidelines, processes and templates to recruit, train and manage volunteers for the Regional Health System programmes. You will coordinate and publicise volunteer recruitment efforts at HQ level, facilitate sharing of information and volunteers among the institutions as well as to devise and track KPIs to measure volunteer satisfaction and retention. You are also required to counsel stakeholders on the appropriate deployment and management of volunteers at the programme planning stage. You will identify training needs, conduct and source for appropriate training for the staff and volunteers.

In addition to the above, you will need to understand the volunteer recruitment needs to represent SingHealth and to engage national agencies such as Agency for Integrated Care (AIC), Singapore Healthcare Corps as well as to represent and advocate for Regional Health System at internal and external workgroups pertaining to volunteerism. You will organise meetings and check in on site teams as well as organise social/bonding/appreciation activities for the volunteers. You are to ensure that there is a platform where volunteers can provide regular feedback and a platform to address their concerns and provide counsel when required.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in recruiting and managing volunteers
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders (e.g. Community Partners)
  • Possess good grasp of best practices in volunteer management
  • Possess good presentation skills and has good written skills
  • Experience working or volunteering in a community care of healthcare setting would be an added advantage
  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
