Assistant Manager Accountant - Capital Markets

Singapore

Mon-Fri, 8:30AM - 5:30PM

Hybrid

Intro:

Reporting to Team Manager of Accounting team, you will be responsible for management and financial accounting of assigned Capital Market clients portfolio. You will work closely with local and CoE team in an effective manner to motivate and coach the team, to continuously meet clients \'expectations, to optimise the work process and to maintain close contacts with clients.

Some of the things you\'ll be doing:

\xc2\xb7 Oversee a team of accounting professionals in daily accounting duties

\xc2\xb7 Review and ensure the accounts and financial statements of the client are properly drawn up in accordance with the provisions of the Companies Act and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards.

\xc2\xb7 Ensure regulatory compliance requirements are met for all clients

\xc2\xb7 Maintain up to date knowledge in statutory regulations by IRAS, SFRS, identify and adapt quickly to changes in those regulations

\xc2\xb7 Support in continuous assessment of procedures and control and implementing process improvement as necessary

\xc2\xb7 Coaching junior staff to achieve team and company goal

\xc2\xb7 Contribute and identify opportunity to market our service to potential clients and support team to achieve revenue target

\xc2\xb7 Perform any other ad hoc related assignments or projects.

What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need?

Required level and content of education:

\xc2\xb7 Possess at least a Bachelors\' Degree in Finance/Accountancy or ACCA

Business experience required:

\xc2\xb7 Minimum 5 years\' working experience in auditing or handling full set of accounts

\xc2\xb7 Prior experience of working in structured finance or financial services audit or outsourcing environment is preferred

\xc2\xb7 Well-versed in Singapore Financial Reporting Standards

\xc2\xb7 Willing to hands-on and capable of driving changes and initiatives

\xc2\xb7 Analytical, meticulous with excellent leadership qualities

\xc2\xb7 Possess high level of energy and personal drive

\xc2\xb7 Possess professional qualities with good communication, interpersonal skills and teamwork.

Language skills/other skills required:

\xc2\xb7 Fluent in English

\xc2\xb7 Fluent in Chinese is an advantage

\xc2\xb7 Accounting software, MS Office
