Job Description

The candidate will assist to review and implement various regulatory frameworks to support IMDA\xe2\x80\x99s vision of a vibrant, world class info-communications sector that drives the economy, bonds communities and powers a Smart Nation.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and review consumer policy frameworks and initiatives for the telecom and media sectors, with the objective of ensuring that they remain relevant in protecting consumers\xe2\x80\x99 interests, while also considering IMDA\xe2\x80\x99s strategic objectives, WOG perspectives, and impact on industry competitiveness

• Implement policy and regulatory frameworks, including the Publication of Statistics on Telecommunication Service Providers\xe2\x80\x99 Handling of Consumer Feedback
• Assess potential breaches of regulatory frameworks, including the Telecommunications and Media Competition Code

• Partner IMDA divisions to handle consumer complaints on telecom, media and postal matters

Requirements

• Background in public policy, economics, or engineering
• At least 2 years of work experience in the telecommunications, media and postal sectors, or relevant sectors
• Strong ability to understand communication networks and technical aspects of such networks
• Preferably with experience in customer service or stakeholder management
• Strong analytical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
• Clear communication skills, with good command of English
• Go-getter, self-directed, agile, and able to operate in fast evolving environment
