Build and develop good relations with both local and international media, pitch and explore media opportunities, facilitate media interview requests, monitor and report on media coverage
Develop and execute communication strategies to build brand awareness, leadership and engagement that supports the NUS Business School’s positioning as a world class educational institution
Develop content (press releases, commentaries, stories, news and event coverage, videos) for both English and Mandarin-speaking audiences
Provide marketing strategies and support for programmes and events globally, but with a greater focus in the Asia Pacific and Greater China regions
Manage the Chinese social media accounts (WeChat, Weibo)
Oversee procurement of services used by the Corporate Communications office
Manage corporate sustainability and branding initiatives
Qualifications
At least a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional qualifications
Minimum 6 years of working experience in a corporate communications/public relations/ journalism related function
Strong oral and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin, due to frequent liaising with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders. Able to translate content and ideas into both languages.
Keen interest and ability to tell stories via writing
A good social media account operator, with past experience in managing both Chinese and English social media accounts is preferred
A good team player: Work closely with other departments/faculty to develop content for Chinese coverage and media consumption
Excellent time and project management skills, able to coordinate with colleagues from various departments, manage vendors and liaise with external stakeholders
