What the role is:What the role is
The Education & Community Outreach (ECO) division at the National Heritage Board (NHB) seeks to promote public awareness, appreciation and engagement on Singapore\'s heritage. The successful candidate will be involved in grants administration, including designing and implementing initiatives to promote the awareness of heritage and culture in SingaporeWhat you will be working onAdminister the Minor Heritage Grants and Major Heritage Grants under the NHB Heritage Grants Scheme; and the Young Change Makers - Youth Heritage Kickstarter Fund. This includes assessing of applications, evaluating and fact-checking submitted content, managing budget and projects as well as ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the grants database.Project managing of grant applicants from a variety of background.Respond to general enquires from public on the Heritage Grants Scheme and promoting the NHB Grants Scheme, including showcasing completed grants projects.Organise grants clinics to guide potential grant applicants in their application process; and provide/share useful research resources that can help grant applicants/recipients in the executing of their projects. Ensure compliance to grant governance guidelines, processing and tracking of grant applications (including assessing and evaluating grant applications), reviewing project contents/manuscripts, and ensuring accuracy and integrity of grant and programme databases.Cultivate, develop, and maintain partnerships with agencies, institute of higher learnings, organisations and individuals in the Public, Private and People sectors, in support of the division\'s programmes/initiatives.Gather and report feedback/statistics received from outreach activities, including performing data analysis on grant applications to identify gaps, potential target segments, and measure impact of grant projects supported.Conduct and/or participate in SOP or Policy reviews and process improvements in the division.Other ad-hoc initiatives, administrative duties and projects as assignedWhat we are looking forBackground in History, Arts, Social Science, Business/Art Administration, Mass/Corporate Communications, or a combination of related training and experience is preferred.Fresh graduates with interest or prior experience in the culture and heritage sector are welcome to apply.Possess excellent partnership development, strong negotiation, presentation, writing and project management skills.Proactive and resourceful, willing to be on the move and work in a fast-paced environment.Independent and able to multi-task, while being a team player.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Meticulous and organized.Experience in government procurement, grant management and finance procedures will be an advantage.Competent in MS Office and comfortable working with databases and electronic administration systems.Able to work on weekday evenings and weekends if required.*All applicants will be notified whether they are shortlisted within 4 weeks of the closing date of this job posting.About National Heritage Board:The National Heritage Board (NHB) champions the development of a vibrant cultural and heritage sector in Singapore.
