Assistant Manager (Healthcare Management Academy) Job Purpose The Assistant Manager (AM) of Healthcare Management Academy (HMA) will plan, organise, direct and manage the programmes and operations of the Academy and take a leadership role to grow, develop and enhance the reputation of HMI Institute. He/she will be responsible to set a strategic direction and vision in line with the Institute, academic planning and leadership of the programmes, services and activities. The AM is also responsible to ensure sustainable growth and competitiveness of the Academy, lead the increase in student numbers through the growth of existing programmes and the development of new ones for the
Academy. Responsibilities \xe2\x9c\x93 Leadership and Management:
  • The AM is responsible for providing strategic leadership and management for the Academy.
  • Contributes to the management, growth and future development of the Academy by providing academic leadership in the development and implementation of the Institute\xe2\x80\x99s strategic plans and by participating actively and constructively in the management structure of the Institute.
  • Collaborate closely with all internal and external stakeholders, colleagues, department heads and subject matter experts to drive collaboration and service excellence for any given projects/assignment.
  • Manage the Academy\xe2\x80\x99s resources to ensure that they are used effectively and efficiently.
\xe2\x9c\x93 Academic Affairs:
  • Oversees the academic affairs of the Academy. This includes developing and implementing academic policies, overseeing the curriculum, ensuring quality of teaching, and monitoring the performance of trainers.
  • Monitor the quality of teaching of the programmes offered by the Academy and be active in maintaining it at a high level.
  • Maintain quality assurance and workplace safety management, including review of training materials and ensure compliance with course accreditation requirement/framework by relevant Authority.
  • Play a primary role in the recruitment, selection and induction of academic staff.
\xe2\x9c\x93 Student Affairs:
  • Ensure the students are provided with a supportive and enriching environment. This may include overseeing student services such as academic advising, career counselling, and student activities.
  • Evaluate curriculum effectiveness, collect feedback from learners, analyse effectiveness of learning delivery methods and materials, analyse assessment data to identify learning gaps and performance issues, report and suggest areas for improvement based on analysis against objectives and performance standards.
\xe2\x9c\x93 Budget and Finance:
  • The AM is responsible for managing the budget and finances of the Academy. This includes developing and monitoring budgets, ensuring the financial sustainability of the Academy.
  • Build the financial strength of the Academy by looking into ways to increase student enrolment and developing courses that are profitable and quality-assured and enhance the reputation of the Institute as an institution of standing and excellence.
\xe2\x9c\x93 External Relations:
  • The AM represents the Institute to external stakeholders, such as industry partners, alumni, the wider academic community and government/professional bodies. This includes building relationships with external organizations, promoting the school\'s reputation, and identifying opportunities for collaboration.
  • The AM needs to manage client/stakeholder\xe2\x80\x99s needs, through participating in curriculum and business development activities, analyse client\xe2\x80\x99s training needs and establish good rapport and service mindset to maintain long-term relationship with clients/stakeholders.
  • Represent the Institute in the external community by developing, promoting and maintaining links with the appropriate industry, government and professional bodies and seeking support and resources for the School.
\xe2\x9c\x93 Research:
  • Promote, facilitate and monitor research activities among departments / colleagues, to venture new areas of training opportunities.
Requirements
  • Degree in any discipline;
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience in education sector;
  • Strong leader who demonstrates the ability to liaise and network with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Able to plan, prioritise and organise own work independently to achieve good agreed results, and at times, under pressure;
  • Excellent leadership skills with proven ability in leading, motivating, developing and managing a team of academic staff;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Good time management and organisational skills with ability to multitask, prioritise and problem solving;
  • Good knowledge of computer applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Job Type: Full-time Salary: $4,000.00 - $4,500.00 per month Benefits:
