Singapore Polytechnic's Professional and Adult Continuing Education (PACE) Academy is a leading continuing education and training (CET) academy that advocates the pursuit of lifelong learning and skills mastery. We offer a wide range of training programmes for adult learners to enhance their employability, and partner the industry closely in workforce development. PACE also help companies build and develop their workplace learning capabilities, solutions and systems through training and consultancy projects.

Reporting to Deputy Director (Outreach & Development), the appointee will lead SP's effort to align with the National Centre of Excellence for Workplace Learning (NACE) and to drive workplace learning programs. He/she will lead the design and development of training intervention and solutions for companies to adopt workplace learning. He/she will experiment andragogy through projects/ training programmes to establish SP's unique pedagogical approach for workplace learning.

The appointee will prepare technical contents of project proposal for workplace learning implementation. He/She will lead and manage workplace learning project and training programmes, especially in the area of On-the-Job Training (OJT), training needs and skills gap analysis, job redesign, mentoring and coaching at workplace, etc. He/She will monitor grant utilisation, procure relevant services and oversee the progress of workplace learning projects/ programmes for completion in a timely manner. He/she will also work with different internal and external stakeholder to actively drive workplace learning programs and projects in alignment with National Agenda.

Responsibilities:-

Lead and manage Workplace Learning projects, which includes:
- Design best-fit workplace learning intervention and solutions to meet company's needs in workplace learning;
- Source and establish project team with relevant skills and experience to deliver project outcomes as stated in the project proposal
- Monitor and coordinate project progress and ensure project completion within the planned time line.
- Plan and manage budget and resources deployed for workplace learning projects
- Resolve complex issues and conflicts and provide suggestions for continuous improvement during project phase

  • Drive development, implementation and assessment of On-the-Job Training (OJT) Blueprint for companies
  • Develop and conduct Workplace Learning training programmes, in alignment with SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) and Institute of Higher Learning (IHLs)
  • Lead research and development of technical and pedagogy approach for Workplace Learning as Continuing Education and Training (CET) programs for companies
  • Establish and maintain fruitful relationships with internal and external stakeholders for implementation of Workplace Learning Initiatives
Requirements:-
  • Possesses skills and competencies in learning & development, e.g. learning solution design, curriculum design, technology-enabled learning delivery, talent management, performance management, etc.
  • Strong leadership skills, resourceful, proactive, enterprising, persuasive
  • Possess good project management skills and good time management
  • Strong business writing and communication skills
  • Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated commitment towards helping Singaporeans on their career journey and raising their employability level for job placement
  • Preferably to have more than 4 years of experience in educational institutions of higher learning or/and Continuing Education and Training (CET) sector
Successful candidate will be offered a 1-year contract for first instance.
