Job Description

Job Purpose

The Assistant Building Services Engineer will support the design, coordination, installation, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and other building services systems. The role provides practical exposure and technical support to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulations and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of design drawings, calculations, and specifications for building services systems. Support site supervision, testing, and commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems. Review shop drawings, material submissions, and coordinate with contractors and consultants. Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, ensure quality, and check compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Prepare reports, meeting minutes, and project documentation. Learn and apply industry codes, standards, and sustainable building practices. Collaborate with senior engineers, contractors, and clients to resolve technical issues.

Requirements

Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, or related engineering discipline. Strong interest in building services engineering, sustainable design, and construction. Good problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work as part of a team with a proactive and learning mindset. Familiarity with CAD/Revit/BIM software will be an advantage.
