Job brief

Senior System Engineer who is able to design, implement, maintain, upgrade and manage our system development environment, server system hardware and networks.

Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role. The candidate should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. He/she should also have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, install and configure hardware and software
• Manage and configure network system devices and technology tools
• Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
• Troubleshoot issues and outages
• Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
• Perform systems upgrade with new releases and patches
• Generate and maintain technical documentation, manuals and IT policies

• Minimum 3-year of relevant experiences with Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is preferred
• Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms, preferably MS Windows Certified System Administrator and Red Hat Certified System Administrator.
• Proven experience in System Engineering/Administrating, Network Administrator or similar role such as working on Dell Servers, VMware, SAN and Data Domain (DD) setup and configuration.
• Experience with networks preferably CISCO Certified Network Professional; CISCO/Fortinet Certified Network Security; ITIL 4 Certification (IT Infrastructure Library) Managing Professional/ Strategic Leader/ Master.
• Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems), OS hardening and data backup/recovery and patch management
• Ability to create scripts in Python, PowerShell or other language
• Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
