Your day to day

As Assistant Restaurant Manager, you’ll lead and direct outlets’ operations, ensuring quality service and standards are maintained to deliver a memorable guest experience. You are responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects in terms of productivity and profitability – always following government regulations concerning health, safety and any other requirements. Your Day to Day People

  • Direct daily briefings, plan and assign work ensuring you always have the right staffing numbers
  • Develop your team and improve their performance through coaching and feedback, and create performance and development goals for colleagues
  • Train colleagues to make sure they deliver with compliance and to the expected standards
  • Drive a great working environment for teams to thrive - linking up departments to create sense of one team
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments
  • Liaise with departments to develop new products, services and monthly promotions calendar
Financial
  • Help prepare the hotel’s annual budget, financial reports and cost forecast for all outlets
  • Monitor budget and control expenses with a focus on food, beverage, and labour costs
  • Working with other departments to identify additional sales opportunities to enhance revenue
  • Make sure credit and financial transactions are handled securely
  • Ensure that all stock inventories are recorded accurately and good practices in place to prevent pilferage
Guest Experience
  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day operation of the Food and Beverage outlets including In-Room-Dining and Mini-bar
  • Manage the delivery of high quality service; creating Unique Guests Experience.
  • Maintain a comprehensive, current and guest focused set of departmental standards and procedures and oversees their implementation
Responsible Business
  • Ensure all procedures are aligned with our hotel’s policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Be aware of duty of care and adhere to occupational, health and safety legislation, policies and procedures
  • Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures
  • Other ad-hoc duties - unexpected moments when we have to pull together to get a task done

What we need from you
Ideally you are a highly self driven individual who is passionate about being developing yourself in your role. You have at least a Diploma in F&B Management and possesses strong leadership skills to lead your team. You are able to converse in English and has ability to communicate with guests and build rapport with them. You have at least 2 years of working experience working in a Supervisory role in a similar field.
