What\'s the Job? As an Catering & Event Sales Manager, you\xe2\x80\x99ll sell activities and events in line with annual sales and marketing plan, achieve/exceed budget and sales strategy and monitor results to ensure they are achieved. You will be solely in charge of hunting for leads and converting them for our hotel\xe2\x80\x99s very first food truck business. Your Day to Day People
  • Maintain regular contact with IHG hotels in Singapore and regional reservation office
  • Assist superior in managing all employee related matters such as recruiting, counselling and coaching
  • Build rapport and strong relations with employees
Guest Experience
  • Entertain clients and provide proper customer service
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, business generators, meeting and convention planners, corporate accounts and other producers closely allied to our hotel
  • Plan and conduct familiarization tours and site inspections
Financial
  • Assist superior in the preparation and management of department\xe2\x80\x99s budget including monitoring of departmental costs and inputting into annual budget and sales and marketing plan
  • Convert leads to business to achieve budget for Catering Sales and Food Truck
Responsible Business
  • Monitors competitors\xe2\x80\x99 activities, assists in marketing intelligence, market research and analyze the impact of sales mix on hotel goals
  • Provide direction and implement new ideas that will assist to maximise and develop the business
  • Assist with the preparation of new products and services, evaluation of sales and marketing activities, stock control of collaterals
  • Execute advertisements/ promotions in a timely manner
  • Demonstrate awareness of OH&S policies and ensure all policies, procedures and guidelines are conducted safely
  • Be aware of fire safety rules and hazards, and inform supervisors of any injuries or assistance required
  • Log security incidents and accidents in accordance with hotel requirements
  • Be aware of duty of care and adhere to occupational, health and safety legislation, policies and procedures
What do we need from you? Ideally you have at least 2 years of experience managing Catering & Event Sales. You have at least a Diploma qualification and is a self driven individual who has strong knowledge of the local business.
