As the Safety Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all EHS-related matters for construction, addition and alteration (A&A), and customer fit-out projects to ensure compliance with all legal and Group EHS requirements. Additionally, you will support the Country EHS Manager in managing operational EHS at the data centers.The Opportunity

  • Oversight of Construction and Fit-Out Projects: Manage and maintain full oversight of construction, A&A, and customer fit-out projects to ensure Group Minimum Standards (GMS) and other related EHS standards are implemented, efficiently managed, and maintained.
  • Safety Management System: Work with the contractor site management team to ensure the Project Safety Management System is implemented for construction and A&A projects.
  • Compliance Audits: Conduct 6-monthly compliance audits for construction and A&A projects, prepare audit reports, and follow up on findings with relevant stakeholders until closure.
  • Monthly Safety Reports: Collect and prepare monthly safety reports for construction and A&A projects, including required EHS metrics such as man-hours worked, leading & lagging indicators, and safety compliance status.
  • Support Project Teams: Provide support to the Singapore Data Centre Operations Project Team and General Contractor to ensure work activities are planned and executed safely and in compliance with legal and the organization's EHS requirements.
  • Incident Management: Oversee all safety incidents or near misses for projects and operational data centers to ensure they are reported and investigated per the organization. Incident Management standards. Assist with onsite investigations for dangerous occurrences or incidents with major injuries.
  • EHS Assurance Walkdowns: Perform regular EHS assurance walkdowns, task observations, and inspections for project and operational data center activities; prepare findings reports and follow up on actions until closure.
  • EHS Program Development: Plan, develop, and execute EHS programs, procedures, and awareness activities for the Singapore data centers. Support other EHS activities and initiatives as assigned by the Country EHS Manager.
The Talent
  • Bachelor's Degree Level Qualification in Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of EHS management experience in Construction / Addition & Alteration works (post WSHO registration).
  • At least 2 years of experience managing EHS in operational settings.
  • Experience in data centers, facility management, or manufacturing-related EHS is an added advantage.
  • Must be a registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
  • Registration as an Environmental Control Officer (ECO) with the National Environment Agency (NEA) is preferred.
  • Immediate starter will be an advantage.
