We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Safety Manager to join our dynamic team. Your primary goal will be to ensure a safe, compliant, and healthy work environment for all personnel operating in a fast-paced port setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Safety Compliance & Procedures:
Assist in ensuring compliance with all local and safety regulations
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of terminal areas, equipment, and work practices.
Training & Development:
Support the development and delivery of safety training programs for employees and contractors.
Conduct new hire safety orientations to instill a safety-first culture from day one.
Incident Investigation & Reporting:
Participate in the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root cause.
Prepare detailed incident reports and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Maintain accurate safety records and documentation.
Risk Assessment & Hazard Control:
Perform risk assessments for various port operations.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 2 years of direct safety experience.
Professional safety certification is highly preferred.
Strong, practical knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations.
A solutions-oriented professional with a proven "can-do" attitude.
