Your Role

We are looking for a sales driven and experienced Assistant Sales Manager to secure new customers, maintain and develop new revenue streams from existing accounts.

What Will You Do

  • To secure new customers, maintain and develop new revenue streams from existing accounts.
  • 60% of New Business Development (Hunter) and 40% of Current Account Sales Management.
  • To deliver volume and revenue targets for the Freight Forwarder sales channels while remaining focused on relationship building with customers for fostering profitable sales.
  • To execute the cross-trade business of other countries related to Singapore business.
  • To support the network/agent business in response to shipment arrangement and information as and when required.
  • To provide our customers with the best possible solution to solve their logistical issues.
  • To achieve and monitor customers KPIs & initiatives to ensure we deliver quality, reliability, scalability, and productivity to meet customer satisfaction.
  • To perform issuance of quotations, prepare RFQ, tender Bid, reviewing rates, etc.
  • To prepare SOP, Operation T&C and get approval from relevant stakeholders before submitting to customer.
  • To have good relationships with carriers and co-loaders
  • To meet and exceed set Sales Targets in terms of generating revenue and contributing gross profit for the company.
  • To maintain records of customer details, sales visits or sales progress.
  • To identify potential customers and register opportunities to provide supply chain solutions leading to revenue for the company.
  • To follow up on customer communications in a timely and professional manner.
  • To work closely with Customer Service and Operations on the execution of customer\'s quotation.
  • To prepare Weekly Sales Progress Report to Management (updates on pipelines, target, budgeting achievement)
  • To report to Managing Director and Sales Manager on current market information regularly.
What Do We Want
  • Must have at least a Diploma / Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or discipline related to Logistics & Supply Chain Management.
  • At least 3 years of Sales experience in 3rd Party Logistics & distribution or Freight forwarding or Warehousing.
  • Must have experience in hunting to develop new sales opportunities or having the experience in Key Account Management.
  • Good knowledge in MS Office Skills (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) for sales presentation and proposal for target client.
  • Able to speak Japanese is an added advantage
