Job Description




The incumbent will be responsible for cultivating prospective donors for gifts and stewardship of funds towards the progress of higher education, research and community building at the Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences (FASS).

Responsible for the donor and alumni engagement programmes and initiatives that develop a culture of giving back as well as providing meaningful opportunities for alumni development.

He/She will have to work closely with the Vice Dean (ERSL) and proactively engage internal stakeholders (colleagues, faculty and volunteers) prospective donors/volunteers to advance the philanthropic and alumni mission of the Faculty.

  • Drive fundraising and alumni engagement efforts of the Faculty.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to develop fundraising opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on engagement programmes to build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with alumni and donors to drive annual giving for the Faculty and inculcate the spirit of giving.
  • Identify and cultivate prospective donors and alumni for giving back opportunities to the Faculty.
  • Receive and process gifts according to NUS gift policies.
  • Steward and deepen relationships with donors and alumni.
  • Develop creative effective marketing and communications strategies for the Faculty to alumni, donors and prospective donors.
  • Manage the alumni database system and records.
  • Undertake any other work assigned by the Vice-Dean.
Qualifications
  • Degree from a recognised university.
  • Approximately 10 years\' progressive track record in relevant portfolio.
  • Proven ability to cultivate prospective donors and creating solutions that promote engagement and alignment of multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop excellent relationships with internal and
  • external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional multi-tasking ability, high energy, enthusiastic personality and a strong work ethic as an individual contributor and collaborative team player, requiring minimum supervision.
  • Comfortable to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • High level of discretion and sensitivity in handling information.
