:The CompanyThis is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile and reputable industry leader within the marine industry. Due to business expansion, we are currently recruiting for an Assistant Tax Manager to be based in Singapore office.The RoleReporting to the Head of Tax, you will be responsible for regional tax compliance and planning including corporate tax, ensuring that tax returns are prepared and filed accurately in the various jurisdictions, overseeing withholding tax processes, documentation and reporting, managing stamp duty compliance requirements, assisting to tax inquiries from tax authorities. Other key responsibilities include transfer pricing planning and analysis, managing intercompany transactions and evaluating tax implications, managing tax incentives, implementing and maintaining robust internal controls and processes, as well as monitoring updates in tax laws, regulations and incentives. Identifying potential tax risks and exposures associated with various business activities, transactions and jurisdictions. This includes assessing the impact of changes in tax laws and regulations on the company. Integrating tax considerations into overall business strategy and decision-marking, including advising on tax implications of investments, restructuring and other business transactions. Developing and implementing tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize tax efficiency for the company. This includes identifying risks associated with tax planning strategies. Periodic review of corporate structure for streamlining and identifying tax-saving opportunities. Staying updated on changes in international tax standards and guidelines related to BEPS Pillar 2 and how these changes could impact the company. Supporting internal stakeholders with ad-hoc tax advisory, tax reporting to external counterparties and other related tax mattersYour ProfileTo qualify for this role, you must have a Bachelor Degree in Accountancy and professional qualifications will be advantageous. We are seeking candidates with minimum 4 years of relevant experience from Big 4 or a multinational corporation. It is essential to be familiar with international tax rules with strong analytical skills.
