Responsibilities:

• Support the Power Station Manager to meet the contractual, technical and commercial set-up and operation of the Power Station.
• Assist with the relevant Managers for long term Station performance tracking monitoring the whole performance of the Plant and the performance of identified equipment and systems not limited to Heat Recovery Steam Generators, Condensers, Chemical Dosing stations, Water Treatment Plant, Electro-chlorination plant etc.
• Assist to monitor key operating parameters (Boilers flows, key operational control valves, effluent discharge etc) and review against planned/completed work orders
• Prepare test reagents to carry out laboratory sampling for water related monitoring
• Responsible to monitor the caustic and acid tanks level and initiate top up when required
• Maintenance of inventory for chemicals and related consumables
• To fulfil PUB effluent discharge requirements
• Assist to establish and implement performance procedure & O&M policies and procedures to meet all Station, company economic viability.
• Monitor and review the technical and economic feasibility study of improvement projects for efficiency, reliability, sustainability and safety.
• Assist fully with and participate in all Health, Safety and Environmental practices/activities.
• To undertake additional duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary by the Power Station Manager

Requirements:

• Diploma in Mechanical or Chemical/Process Engineering preferably aligned to power generation thermodynamics and/or chemistry.
• Preferred 2-3 years of experience working in Power Station O&M ideally on a CCPP. Entry level candidates may also be considered.
• Detailed understanding and knowledge of Combined Cycle Power Station thermodynamics. Understanding of Power Station maintenance practices.
• Good understanding of Power Station engineering design and construction.
