Job Description


Pearl Marine Logistics was incorporated in 2009. We are primarily engaged in bunker programming operations and have since expanded our capabilities to provide ship management services in April 2021.Responsibilities:

  • Plan, control, and execute all activities connected with maintenance, repairs, survey and certificate requirements, dry-docking, conversion or modification of assigned ships, including preparation of docking specifications, cost compilation and the final reports.
  • Carrying out the communications with Class Surveyors for vessel surveys.
  • Advising the Master and Chief Engineer of planned maintenance and maintenance work to be carried out by the ship\xe2\x80\x99s staff.
  • Examining vessel\xe2\x80\x99s machinery spaces with reference to cleanliness and the progress of maintenance by the ship\xe2\x80\x99s staff.
  • Verify the work and performance of the Chief Engineer, Engineer officers and rating.Ensure assigned vessels compliance to SIRE inspections to meet vetting requirements of oil major by conducting pre-SIRE inspections onboard vessels with reference to vessel inspection questionnaire (BIQ) latest edition.
  • Monitor fuel oil and lube oil testing results and take necessary corrective action promptly.
  • Ensure the timely supply and maintain a sufficient stock of engine room stores, spares, and other maintenance items on board at all times.
  • Ensure annual servicing of portable and fixed LSA & FFA such as fire extinguishers, L/rafts, SCBA sets, EEBD sets, L/boat, Rescue boat davit annual test and MMC, gas detection equipment, alcohol meters, BA compressor air quality test, etc.
  • Training of technical department\xe2\x80\x99s sea staff.
  • Withdrawing from vessels, when instructed, details of the following for office records as per Company SMS (Service, Maintenance, Spare parts, consumption, Vessel\xe2\x80\x99s speed, fuel averages, etc.)
  • Must follow up on audited non-conformances, observations, schedule and attend dockings.
  • Proceeding to whatever worldwide port may be necessary, on the instruction of the Management for the purpose of supervising repairs and restoration of the Company\xe2\x80\x99s vessels and equipment.
  • Submitting budget for approval and thereafter monitoring budgets for his area of expenditure responsibility and reporting variances.
  • Inspecting on assigned vessels whilst in dry-dock and maintain records of hull and tank steel work and coating condition.
  • Conduct regular visit onboard assigned vessel to ensure comply with latest IMO / Flag requirement and ensure necessary documents onboard.
  • Prepare and submit proposal plan / budgets respect to their assigned vessel on repairs and spares.
  • Carry out other ad hoc duties assigned by the Management.
Requirements:
  • Diploma in engineering or any related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience with sailing or bunker vessel and possess class 2/3 is a plus.
  • Competent with MS Office and knowledgeable in vessel technical.
  • Able to work independently as well as with the team.
  • Effective communicator with good command of English
  • Knowledge of vessels\xe2\x80\x99 technical requirements
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and good organisation skill
