We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Assistant Vice President, Banking Consumer Operations.

Principal Responsibilities

  • The purpose of the role is to manage processes relating to banking services, not limited to production order processes
  • The role holder is responsible to deliver efficiencies through simplification, re-engineering, etc. for sustainable saves and to be in line with the global standardization concept including compliant and control in the processes
  • In addition, to drive the productivity and ensure consistently meeting the turnaround time of the processes
  • This includes the day-to-day controls of activities of the team so as to ensure the smooth operation of the department which involves processing and approving daily transactions within agreed service level. In addition, focusing on cost efficient delivery via process improvement without comprising compliance and control
Requirements
  • Good understanding of operational risk and controls, preferably gained through experience in front line and risk roles
  • Proven problem-solving skills with ability to consider alternative and lateral solutions
  • Highly developed communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to prioritise and work independently under pressure within a team environment
  • Knowledge of the changing regulatory environment
  • Demonstrable experience of managing operational risk within appetite during operational change and re-organisation
  • A sound knowledge of the banking products & services
  • Significant experience of implementing control frameworks
  • Strong communication
  • MS Office including excel and basic software knowledge
