Job Responsibilities

Support business/financial intelligence for sector-focused unit (1. Telecom, Media & Technology/Automobile & Industries, 2.Basic Materials, Infrastructure, and 3. Consumer Products & Retail, Heathcare & Foods) and occasionally co-work with SMBC HQ in Japan Conduct financial analysis and market research, collect information and analyze specific companies, industry, market etc., and share with RMs and other departments. Evaluate clients' needs and financial abilities to propose suitable initiatives/strategies. Liaising with head office in Tokyo, which includes communicating in Japanese and preparing internal reports in Japanese. Develop pitch papers in relation to investment banking products including M&A, alliance Visiting customers and other relevant organizations in APAC for deal origination and presenting investment opportunities and proposals to clients together with Senior. Contribute to the sector unit and the department to achieve team budget target and KPIs

Job Requirements

Degree qualified, certification in CMFAS Advising on Corporate Finance is preferred but not essential. At least 5 years of working experience in a relevant capacity. Knowledge of Corporate Finance and M&A will be advantageous Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Strong command of English and Japanese is preferred due to nature of job role which requires liaising with Tokyo Head Office Proficiency in Mandarin is preferred but not required to better communicate with Taiwan/HK clients * Self-starter and a strong team player
