Job Purpose
Reporting to Lead Distribution Reporting and Digital Enablement. The candidate is responsible to own the Business Owner role and drive key distribution digital strategies for all sales channels (Agency, Bancassurance and Brokers); with the objective to increase business efficiencies to achieve overall channel\xe2\x80\x99s top and bottom-line budget numbers.
He/She will need to support management\xe2\x80\x99s decision in project sponsorship by establishing clear business needs against what can be delivered by IT and our Platform/Product Owner (i.e. CxD). He/she will be responsible for updating, prioritizing, and implementing digital platforms that drive distribution productivity.
The Job
There are 5 key responsibilities of the Business Owner (BO) to complement the Platform/Product Owner and Scrum Master:
\xc2\xb7 Establish business opportunity: BO define the business needs, which translates to project objectives, scope, timeline and measure of success. He/she will be involved in the ideation and identification of possible solutions to meet the identified business need. He/she will need to be kept up to date of the latest industry, customer buying behaviour trends and customer-centric mindset.
\xc2\xb7 Prioritisation of initiatives: By working closely with the POs, the BO prioritises what should be developed (in-scope), backlogged, or kept out-of-scope. He/she needs to evaluate based on budget and resources provided.
\xc2\xb7 Stakeholder management: The BO is required to actively collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that project and strategies are rolled out in a clear, prompt and timely manner. He/she should be clear of the project status and report accordingly to the distribution management team.
\xc2\xb7 Digital enablement: Post-launch, the BO is involved in coordinating with other distribution stakeholders (e.g. training and marketing) to ensure that our distribution partners understand how to use the platform. Should production issues arise, he/she should engage PO and IT to see through its resolution.
Qualifications

\xc2\xb7 Minimum Degree-holder
\xc2\xb7 Possesses the following qualities: strong problem solving skills with the ability to think analytically and strategically, strong business acumen and sense of numbers, meticulous and proactive.
\xc2\xb7 Preferred to have project experience on large or e-commerce projects
\xc2\xb7 Team player with excellent communication skills, both oral and written
\xc2\xb7 Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills with confidence to constantly push the boundaries
\xc2\xb7 Able to work independently with minimal supervision
\xc2\xb7 Adaptable and thrives on new challenges
\xc2\xb7 High proficiency in project tools, e.g. MS Office, JIRA, HPQC and Confluence
