Assist VP, HR to improvise, implement and drive HRBP function to another level. AVP, Human Resources/People Experience is responsible for the smooth and effective operation of Agribusiness Philippines Human Resources/People Experience function. Typically, he/she supervises and provides consultation to the local management team on all facets of Human Resources/People Experience (HR/PX), including strategic staffing plans, manpower budget, employee relations, performance management issues, learning & development, labor relations, compensation and benefits. The incumbent is also expected to take a leadership role to plan, design, develop, implement and evaluate human resource-related initiatives that support organizational strategic goals; improve on HR/PX administrative policies and procedures, and ensure that HR/PX operates in an efficient manner; developing a culture that enables employees to perform in accordance to a firm’s objectives. The incumbent coordinates the implementation of services, policies, and programs through HR/PX staff; reports directly to the FVP, Country Director of Agribusiness Philippines and dotted line to VP, Human resources of Agribusiness and assists the senior management team and advises Team Leaders about HR/People Experience issues. Overall

  • Supports organization strategies by identifying and researching human resources/people experience issues; contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to organization strategic thinking and direction; establishes human resources/people experience objectives in line with organizational objectives, culture and resources.
  • Leads human resources/people experience initiatives and programs focusing on the work environment, employee retention, performance management, talent management, compensation, health and welfare benefits and business processes through the application of human resources/people experience and organizational development principles.
  • Manages human resources/people experience operations by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining staff; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing staff job contributions; maintaining compensation; determining production, productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies; designing systems; accumulating resources; resolving problems; implementing change.
  • Developing human resources/people experience operations financial strategies by estimating, forecasting, and anticipating requirements, trends, and variances; aligning monetary resources; developing action plans; measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances.
  • Set up, improve, standardize and review the total HR/PX and management policies and systems of the companies to meet and support business objectives and strategies.
  • Review and reform current HR/PX processes and systems to meet the Food Group HR strategy
  • Develops and administers programs, procedures and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company.
  • Advise Management and business units on HR/PX Best Practices; provide support by giving human resources/people experience advice, counsel, and decisions; analyzing information and applications.
  • Leads and guides Site HR/PX team members to be independent business partners to value-add in Human resources/people experience matters.
  • Guides management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicating and enforcing organization values.
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in conferences and educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organizations.
  • Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Prepares periodic reports for Management, as and when necessary or requested, to track strategic goal accomplishment.
Talent Management
  • Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency, supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.
  • Evaluates staff performance and identifies and develops the potential local employees to support FG succession pipeline, or recruit from external sources in the company.
  • Develops an environment that encourages continuous learning to further develop and enhance the organization's Human Capital; that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement and high performance.
  • Develops High Potential talent. To identify and successfully promote high-potential employees to be in line with corporate succession plans to support frontline businesses.
  • Establishes and leads the hiring procedures necessary to recruit a Senior Management position which include shortlisting the candidates for position finalists.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Work with the C&B Team to effectively structure benefits programs to attract and retain top talent.
  • Providing support in establishing departmental measurements that support the accomplishment of the company’s strategic goals.
  • Leads the implementation of the performance management system that includes performance development plans (PDPs) and employee development programs.
  • Work with the C&B team to establish the company wage and salary structure, pay policies and oversee the variable pay incentive scheme within the company including bonuses and raises.
  • Monitors all pay practices and systems for effectiveness and cost containment.


Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Management or Organization Development or equivalent.
  • Desirable: Master of Science in Human Resource Management or MBA
PART E : RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience, with 5 years holding the managerial position.
  • Demonstrable experience of leading human resources/people experience functions in a multi-location business within the country.
  • Experience to work within an organization with matrix relationships and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and ability to work well with people at all levels of the business.
  • Proactive problem solving and leadership skills
  • Conversant in current industrial / employee relation matters and prevailing legislation
  • Excellent coaching skills
  • Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop Human resources/people experience team members
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a successful participant in the Feed Mancom that provides HR/PX leadership and direction
